Description about High Efficiency Water-cooled Dry Type Transformer
Water-cooled dry-type transformers are a special type of cooling system for dry-type transformers. They maintain the basic structure of a dry-type transformer (the core and windings are not immersed in insulating oil) but use water as the cooling medium to enhance heat dissipation.
According to IEC 60076-11, cooling methods for dry-type transformers include natural air cooling (AN), forced air cooling (AF), and water cooling.
Essentially, they fall under the category of dry-type transformers, but the cooling system is upgraded to a water circulation system, combining the safety and environmental friendliness of dry-type transformers with the high-efficiency heat dissipation capabilities of water cooling technology.
Cooling Principle:
Water-cooled pipes/plates are installed inside the transformer casing or windings, directly absorbing heat through circulating water.
