Dry Type Distribution Traction Transformer

Features of Dry Type Distribution Traction Transformer

Insulation medium: epoxy resin casting or NOMEX® paper insulation, no flammable liquid, meets the highest fire protection level (F1 level);
Applicable scenarios: closed spaces such as subway tunnels and underground substations;
2.Maintenance-free and durable
Hermetically sealed structure: protection level reaches IP65, resisting moisture, salt spray, and dust erosion;
Durable: H-class insulation (180ºC heat resistance), temperature rise control ≤100K, no aging oil needs to be replaced regularly;

Description about Three Phase Dry Type Voltage Power Distribution Transformer

A dry type transformer, also known as an air-cooled transformer, is a type of transformer that utilizes air or gas instead of liquid (such as oil) for insulation and cooling purposes. This transformer design does not immerse its core and windings in insulating oil, making it distinct from oil-filled transformers.

Types of Dry Type Transformers:

1. Cast Resin Dry Type Transformer (CRT):
   • Uses epoxy resin to encapsulate windings, protecting them from moisture, dust, corrosion, and other environmental factors.
   • Suitable for high humidity areas, indoor installations, and fire-risk areas due to its non-hygroscopic, non-inflammable, and maintenance-free nature.
   • Available in ratings from 25 kVA to 12,500 kVA, with an insulation class of F (90°C temperature rise).
2. Vacuum Pressure Impregnated Transformer (VPI):
   • Impregnates windings with class H polyester resin under vacuum and pressure, eliminating air gaps or voids in the insulation.
   • Enhances mechanical strength, dielectric strength, and thermal stability.
   • Suitable for outdoor installations, seismic events, and temperature fluctuations due to its robust construction, moisture-resistant enclosure, and low thermal expansion coefficient.
